Because Fall is my favorite time of the year! So before we move into Christmas I will share a Thanksgiving invitation!! How much fun to send out invitations to all your family and friends??!!

Okay now back to Christmas!! Last year one of my sweet customers asked me to make a tag for her kids to give their friends a Christmas gift! They made Ho Ho Ho Dough together, added the tag and then they had a super sweet and thoughtful gift! I thought this year I would pass along those tags to everyone for FREE!! ENJOY!!!

It’s Fall Y’all!

It’s October…FINALLY!!! My favorite time of the year! I have several fall invitations and cards from years past but this fall I  was so excited to help host a Baby-Que for some sweet friends as they get ready to welcome a baby girl in December!! The wonderful hostesses decided on a couples Baby-Que as the shower would be in Auburn on a home game weekend…WAR EAGLE!

The shower turned out amazing!! Football game….not so amazing! We had wonderful fall temperatures, great BBQ, fabulous friends and lots of cute baby gifts for the mom and dad to be! Oh and don’t forget the pumpkins!! Excited to share some pictures of the shower!! I have some amazingly talented friends that put all this together with the cute paper items from Paisley Pear!!

Time to get back started…

Two years ago the sweetest little love came into my life! My sweet Piper Ella! She is a fireball of a toddler and I am so lucky to have an amazing job where I have stayed home with her since she was born. It has not always been easy trying to run a business and raise a child. Mommy guilt is a part of my everyday life. But the time has come for Piper to start Mothers Day Out Preschool. I know she will love every minute and it will give Mommy a little more time to get some work done! All total it will only be 9 hours out of the week but that will be 9 hours for me to focus completely on Paisley Pear and the occasional trip to the store, ALONE!

The day Piper was born I had my dad take 200 wedding invitations to the post office to mail off to a sweet bride! She never knew I was at the hospital finishing up her wedding. A week after I got out of the hospital I was back at it again with my parents and Brandon helping me put together hundreds more wedding invites! That went on for the first 6 months of Pipers little life. Then one day I realized it wasn’t worth it…as much as I love my job (and the money), my family was my first priority! So for the last 18 months most of my business has come from word of mouth, repeat customers and friends. Don’t get me wrong, I have been in the business for 5 years and that was enough to keep me  busy! Over the next few weeks I will be working on putting some of the hundreds of designs that I have on Etsy as well as posting more pictures to Facebook, Instagram and Blog posts showing all the different designs that I now have ready. It is now time to get back started on everything that I love about paper!! And finally more fun wedding designs too!

I am two and a little rubber ducky too!

I could not think of a better way to start off the new Paisley Pear blog than with this little cutie turning two!!! Piper, my assistant and little love recently turned two and we decided on a party full of rubber ducks!!

I am two!

We had to have everything matching our cute duck theme and precious Shrimp and Grits Kids smocked bubble.  I was so thrilled to have so many friends and family join us over Memorial Day weekend! Brandon, my husband, was sure ready to see the party date finally arrive as he is my other wonderful assistant!! We decided to embark on the journey of cake decorating this year and without him I would have been decorating for days!!

Cake Table

I have always loved making birthday banners! This year we had a Piper banner on the cake table as well as the mantel! Then I made a matching bunting banner and what duck birthday would be complete without a Quack Quack banner!! I also added centerpiece matching ducks all around the house with flowers and mason jars!!

Duck Water Bottle mayo Duck Water

When I said we had ducks everywhere, I meant it!! Matching water bottle labels, condiment bottles and signs for the drinks! No duck party would be complete without some Duck Pond Water! We had to have a little entertainment with ducks too! Duck races were a hit by kids and adults alike!! The duck race and duck pond is where Brandon was able to use some of his handy skills! Make your own duck race with gutters from Lowes or Home Depot! Piper’s friends and cousins all had a special duck with their name attached and that was their duck to race! Then they took their duck home as part of the party favor along with some duck bubbles and duck cookies!

Always when ordering birthday party supplies remember matching thank you cards and favor tags! Yes, the cards are in the mail and on the way! Piper was running a little late! Hope you enjoyed our first post! So much more to come! Visit us on Facebook to see more pictures from Piper’s duck theme birthday celebration! Order the invitation and matching items from our store!
